Global Stone Acquires Digby Stone

We are pleased to announce that from Thursday 28th January, Global Stone (Colchester) Ltd acquired Digby Trading Ltd (Digby Stone).

Digby Stone was established in 2008 by Darren and Claire Digby and have rapidly become one of the leading suppliers of Natural Stone and Porcelain Paving in the UK.

Darren said “We have built a very strong and loyal customer base during this time but recognised that we needed to strengthen our supply chain to retain consistent high levels of customer service. The constant challenge facing Digby Stone moving forward was to secure continuity of supply through a combination of product and shipping. We see this as an exciting opportunity that secures the long-term interests of our personnel and customers.

Global Stone, like Digby Stone, have a similar ethos and this combined with strong branding will bring an enviable offer to the hard landscaping market. I look forward to the year ahead and to working closely with my new colleagues at Global Stone”.

Management of Digby Stone will remain unchanged with Darren Digby leading the company as Managing Director. Julian Wood, Managing Director of Global Stone said, “I have known Darren for many years and look forward to working with him and his team.”
